Your perspective matters

My goal is to support you healing while exploring your own needs, values, principles and strengths.

Leslie Alan

Hello!

I’m Leslie Alan, a second-career psychotherapist with more than 10 years experience in the state of New York and expanding my practive to South Carolina where my daughter and her husband are Charleston Firefighters. I welcome folks from all walks of life, especially those processing grief and trauma. I have a special interest in working with those feeling confused, stuck and alone following mistreatment from antagonistic and narcissistic relational abuse. These experiences leave us questioning our own sanity, our self worth and our own sanity, accepting the blame that is directed at us.

Many who relate to being highly sensative may have received a later-in life ADHD diagnosis, we are more susceptible to mistreatment due to perpetual shame, guilt, low self esteem and anxiety due to the unmet needs from antagonistic, emotionally immature family members, peers and partners.

As we heal, we may need to learn how to be ourselves in a way that can feel like a mystery. We will collaborate to navigate that together using meaning making models.

All that you are is within you to be discovered and celebrated. That’s how ‘you are your own compass.’
